When the world shutdown in March of 2020, New Light's ensemble formed a Creative Committee in order to stay connected and nurture art, all while world's apart. Sub-committees were established to support work in various stages of the creative process, including Development, Radio Dramas, Time Machine, and Darkroom, in order to navigate collaboration in a socially-distanced space. And with the long overdue social reckoning of last summer, led by the powerful We See You White American Theater initiative, our Creative Committee shifted to prioritize the amplification of BIPOC voices.

In this virtual world, supporting artists was a priority for our Collective. We were thrilled to provide a platform and champion the brilliant creativity of Aaron Is Your Friend, Sienna Aczon, E.E. Adams, Michael Aguirre, NJ Agwuna, Aaron Banes, Janet Bentley, Molly Bicks, Michelle Kholos Brooks, Nia Calloway, Eden
