On Thursday, September 26, 2024, a special presentation of Michelle Kholos Brooks' WAR WORDS will be read at The Library of Congress in Washington D.C.

The reading is presented by The Veterans History Project in an effort to raise awareness of the men and women who served in the U.S. Military during the Afghanistan and Iraq wars.

New Light Theater Project is raising money for the reading in order to bring the original off-Broadway company to Washington D.C. We have a Veteran donor who will match up to $10,000 if we can raise funds before July 31, 2024.

If you are able to help us reach our $10,000 goal,

VETERANS HISTORY PROJECT

The Veterans History Project of the Library of Congress American Folklife Center (commonly known as the Veterans History Project) was created by the United States Congress in 2000 to collect and preserve the firsthand remembrances of U.S. wartime veterans. Its mandate ensures future generations may hear directly from those who served to better understand the realities of war. It is a special project of the American Folklife Center, a research center of the Library of Congress.
