CHRIS DAFTSIOS

Chris is a proud member of New Light Theater Project having performed in their Off Broadway productions of Picture Ourselves in Latvia and Two of Us (World premieres, Samuel French publisher). Other Off Broadway credits include Angry Young Man (U.S. premiere, Urban Stages), In Bed With Roy Cohn (World premiere, Theater Row), My Big Gay Italian Midlife Crisis (Anne L. Bernstain Theater), Island of the Blue Dolphins (Town Hall), Visitor from Forest Hills (Tony Roberts, Louise Lasser). Regional: NJ Rep (Broadway World Nominations for Swimming at the Ritz and The Jag - World premieres, Samuel French publisher), Gilbert Theater (Pryor nomination, A Streetcar Named Desire), Guild Hall, Luna Stage, New Century Theater, Forestburgh Playhouse, Shadowland Theater. Film/TV: Conviction (guest star), Law & Order (co-star), Royal Pains (co-star), Incident at Chekhov Creek (w/ David Strathairn), Family Secrets (A&E), Terry from Ohio (Fox), Denizen (w/ Anthony Laciura) and Evil Alive (SAG feature). Performed/co-created over a dozen dance theater pieces in over thirty venues in New York and throughout Europe including True Face: Dance Is Not Enough, winner of Germany's Faust Award: Best New choreography, 2014. Daftsios's first short play In the Hole was chosen for production as a part of the West End Festival of the Arts, Theater Brut 2018 and to be included in a published anthology by Smith and Kraus. His first full length play, Lily, will be produced as a staged reading by NJ Rep in July of 2018.
