"A tough but tender drama."
- The Village Voice
"This entertaining piece of Americana has the humanity of Lanford Wilson, the quirkiness of Beth Henley and the unruliness of Sam Shepard."
"Adams’s clearly knows her way around the territory’s dark alleys lined with addicts, enablers, broken families, and the mentally ill."
"Strange Country packs a punch. It is unusually powerful because it veers into territory both familiar and unexpected."
"Anne Adams keeps us guessing, and you won’t stop thinking about these people as you leave the theater. "
