Clifton is an interdisciplinary artist who has designed scenery, costumes, props, and special effects for theater, film, educational institutions and event companies in NYC and beyond. He is also a conceptual renderer, graphic designer, and creative consultant for Ionic Design Group as well as Experiential Event Production Company, EVNT. Most notable works as a scenic designer and painter-  Polaroid Stories (New School); Popesical The Musical (Fringe NYC); The 20th Century Way (Rattlestick); In Fields Where They Lay (New Ohio); Mr. Landing Takes A Fall (The Flea); Little Women; The Addams Family; Into the Woods; My Fair Lady; Les Miserables (OSTC); Uncle Vanya; The Birds; Boston Marriage (Stella Adler); Das Barbecu (Big Arts); The Last Cyclist (West End Theatre); Jesus Hopped the A Train (Atlantic Stage 2); Othello; New Voices Festival 2013 (New School); BEDBUGS! The Musical (Chernuchin); Fifty Words (45th St Theater); Inadmissable (Canal Park Playhouse); Accidentally, Like a Martyr (Wild Project); We Are All In Paradise (NYU); No No No Yes (Ars Nova); The Brain That Wouldn’t Die! (NYMF); Grace McLean Live In Concert (Ars Nova); Spidermusical (Mint Theatre); Oprah’s The Life You Want Tour (EVNT). Associate Scenic and Costume Designer to John McDermott from 2010 to Present. Most recent productions include Bedlam’s Sense and Sensibility off Broadway and at the Folger Shakespeare Theatre; Saint Joan; Hamlet at the McCarter Theatre, Tribes and Peerless for Barrington Stage, as well as set and costumes for Dear Elizabeth at Dorsett Theatre Festival. Associate Designer to Matt Steinbrenner- For The Record Live: The Brat Pack (Norwegian Cruise Lines).
