Meet the Monte Cristo Cast

 

ALANA BARRETT-ADKINS
Mercedes

Alana is honored to join the cast of Monte Cristo with New Light Theater Project! Alana's recent credits include: The Black That I Am, Women of Adonai, Hadassah, the Called Esther, and ‘Da Kink in My Hair. Giving praise to God, thanks to all who've come to support the production.

AMANDA BERRY 
Haydee

Amanda is a co-founder of New Light Theater Project. Amanda is proud to be a founding member of New Light Theater Project and this is her 9th production with NLTP. Recent credits: Schwarzy in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (Princeton Festival), and Hermia in A Midsummer Night's Dream (Shakespeare on the Sound). Esper Studio Graduate. BFA NYU.

BRETT BENOWITZ
Dantes/Albert

Brett moved to NYC in 2011 after graduating from UGA. NY credits: Born Blue (Master Jefferson) directed by Anthony Rapp, Under the Greenwood Tree (Orlando), Moony’s Kid Don’t Cry (Moony), & the Infinite (Tristan), Rex (Haemon). This is Brett’s 2nd show with NLTP. Thanks family and friends! .

IAN EATON
Bertuccio

Ian has appeared on television, including episodes of Law & Order and Oz, independent films, and theatrical productions such as Flight (Charlie Parker, Metropolitan Theatre), Tara’s Crossing (The Lucille Lortel), Othello (The Clarion Theater), and has consecutively worked with Connecticut Free Shakespeare for 13 seasons in various roles. Laguardia HS (Fame High) alum and BFA in Acting from City College.

TOM FRANK
Monte Cristo

Born in Paris, France, Tom has appeared on stage, TV and film. Credits include: The Things They Left Behind, Worth House, Swingers Anonymous, The Wino Crossing, March of the Bonus Army, The Water Children, De Loba, Dexter. Tom has written and directed original material and has contributed to several award-winning feature scripts (On Tour, Le reste du monde). Tom is also a recording artist and recently released his debut EP Leviathan. He is very grateful to be working on this play with NLTP.

BETHANY GERAGHTY
Luigi Vampa

Bethany has an MFA in Acting from The New School for Drama. A proud company member, her NLTP credits include: In the Soundless Awe, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, SIDD and @War. Other theater credits include: Whiskey Pants (Mind the Art Entertainment), Jump It (Luna Stage) and Brainpeople (Paper Rain). Bethany is a founding member of New Dance Theatre.

KATE KENNEY
Young Mercedes

Kate is delighted to join New Light Theater Project and this ensemble for Monte Cristo. Other NYC companies she’s worked with include: The Pearl, Impetuous Theater Group, Shakespeare Forum, NativeAliens, Drove, and Gravity & Glass. She teaches and performs at Sing Sing Correctional Facility and is an enthusiastic aerialist. www.LadyKenney.com

Liliane is thrilled to be making her NLTP debut! ROGER LIPSON
Faria

Roger's recent credits: Rex (NLTP), Cymbeline, In The Horse. He has composed music for theater, film, and television: “Our Idiot Brother” (Weinstein Company), "Lilyhammer" (Netflix), and on albums such as The Easy Star All Stars' “Lonely Hearts Dub Band (#1 Reggae Album on Billboard). Graduate of London Academy of Music & Dramatic Arts.

MARGHERITA PELUSO
Mme de Villefort/La Carconte

Margherita's credits at the La Mama Theatre, Melbourne include: Dario Fo’s “Medea”. She performed Commedia Dell’arte with Make A Scene. Films include: “Blood Trust” for VCA (Best Actress nom). She trained at the International Lecoq School, Italy and Gifford Conservatory in LA. With L. Strangio she translated "Le Beatrici” by Benni part of NY Italian Theatre Festival. www.margheritapeluso.com

PAUL SHEEHAN
Villefort

Hailing from Ireland, Paul has performed in Dublin, London, Edinburgh, Madrid, Hong Kong, Taiwan and New York. He is delighted to be collaborating with NLTP and hopes you enjoy the ride. Previous roles: Orphans (Liam, Dennis Kelly, Asian Premiere), The Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui (Arturo Ui), Beauty and The Beast (Lumiere, Disney, Hong Kong), The Pillowman (Katurian). Films: Four Assassins, Supercapitalist and an upcoming TV pilot being filmed in San Francisco early next year. Go raibh maith agat, mo chairde!

C. WALKER, JR
Mondego

Carsey has worked extensively with the New Federal & Take Wing And Soar theatre companies. Regionally he has performed with ProArts Austin, St. Edwards University, the Texas State History Museum and the Rep. Theatre of St. Louis. He can be seen on Law & Order, Broad City, Premium Rush & MONEY MONSTER (Fall 2016)
